Why ask Miss America about guns in school?
— Coach Tucker (@iCoachTDs) January 13, 2013
Oh, wonderful. So now Miss America (from New York) can get on her soapbox about taking our guns too. She can piss off.

Miss America thinks we shouldn't have officers with guns in our school. Never guess she was from New York

Miss New York Mallory Hagan won the Miss America pageant tonight. The clincher? Her views on guns. She opposes armed guards in schools because she doesn’t want to “fight violence with violence,” and she apparently wants guns “locked up.”
Wait so we can have guns but lock them all up? Good idea miss New York.

Naiveté or just plain stupid? MT@carohumphrey:Miss New York won because of her answer about gun violence. We can't fight guns with more guns

It’s elementary, dear:

In related news: Staten Island, N.Y. residents voted for armed guards in their kids’ schools. Montpelier, Ohio, residents want to arm school janitors. And the White House is now reportedly considering funds for armed police officers in schools — after the Left crucified the NRA for proposing exactly the same thing.
Fighting “violence with violence?” Ask Miss America.

Update:
Newsbusters has just posted the audio. Transcript:
I don’t think the proper way to fight violence is with violence. I think the proper way is to educate people on guns and the ways that we can use them properly. We can lock them up, we can have gun safety classes, we can have a longer waiting period. The answer is not to fight violence with violence, however.
