Wait, what?!
Journalists from around world embark on Moscow-Havana flight to "photograph an empty seat" via @caosnews pic.twitter.com/TL6BGR3NmF #Snowden

Ha!
As Twitchy reported on Sunday, NSA leaker Edward Snowden is on the run and has requested asylum from Ecuador. Reports indicated that he would be leaving Moscow and heading to Cuba on Monday.
Where in the world is Edward Snowden?

Not on the journo-filled flight, evidently!
Reporters thought Snowden would be on Moscow-Havana flight. They bought tickets, boarded, doors shut. No Snowden. Now on 12-hour flight.

The #Snowden plot thickens: An @ABC News producer on the flight from Russia to Cuba says he is not on board and the doors have closed.

Snowden had seat 17A on Aeroflot flight from Moscow to Havana. But boarding is done and he's not on the flight. US pressure intense.

Cuba here we come. Taxiing down Sheremetevo runway and no sign of Snowden. Seats empty still by 17A

Hilarity ensues:
Ed Snowden there, outwitting a plane full of journalists with a strategy straight out of a bloody Warner Brothers cartoon.

Apparently journos got on the flight to Cuba for nothing? Heh. They must be red with rage, if you'll pardon the pun #Snowden #TheGreatEscape

I am eternally grateful to #snowden and the #journalists on the lost plane to cuba for the most laughs I have had in a long time.

Can't believe all those hacks are on the flight from Moscow that #Snowden didn't take. Best Rickroll ever?
— Sara Hussein (@sarahussein) June 24, 2013
Zing!
Even more giggle-worthy? It’s a dry flight:
I'm not saying that the thing with the alcohol-free flight full of journos heading to Cuba without Snowden is hilarious, wait no, it is.

Maybe he is on board?
Maybe Snowden is in the airplane lavatory? After all, he knows a thing or two about leaks…
— John Berman (@JohnBerman) June 24, 2013
Groan.
Why you make the big bucks –> RT @JohnBerman: Maybe Snowden is in the airplane lavatory? After all, he knows a thing or two about leaks…
