I am a member of the most problematic group in America right now. I am a middle aged college educated white woman. I would like to apologize on behalf of my group to America. Some of our members have lost their collective minds.
White non-college men, a more blue collar demographic, and white college+ women, a more upscale one, have come to exist in two polar opposite political and cultural universes: pic.twitter.com/zQDi21Ukgf

To be clear, I don't vote with this group. I voted for Trump in 2024 and was thrilled he beat Kamala. Unfortunately, too many white college educated middle aged women don't think like me. We are the outlier going further Left while every other group, including minority groups are trending right. Even very young voters trended toward Trump.
White college educated women are odds with everyone. They've lost their minds.

I've broken with my cohort. And they come for you when you do. Make no mistake.
They are vicious. They are the drivers of cancel culture. https://t.co/TF7DgQj86G
I have a few ideas as to why this group is so out of step.
1. We are Moms, but our kids are out of school or attended private schools. As a result, we have not been as effected by all of the CRT and indoctrination nonsense going on in public schools, particularly elementary schools. Our children are a bit too old (mostly) to be as effected as young kids of today might be. We missed all the 'woke' indoctrination nonsense that has made our younger Mom peers identify with the right.
2. We’re divorced and starting anew. The harsh reality is that too many women in their forties and fifties are facing the same upheaval. Their children have grown and left home, and their husbands have departed—often for younger partners. This breeds deep frustration and resentment, sometimes directed broadly at men. As a result, these women often band together with others who share their experiences and views, forming tight-knit circles that amplify their perspectives. It can turn into an echo chamber, where sentiments like 'white men are the problem' gain traction. With their kids no longer at home needing care, they channel their energy into political causes, driven by a desire to fix the world.

3. We're intellectually bright, but not necessarily social media savvy or literate. To be clear, this is not to say women my age who attended college aren't intelligent. They are. What they are not is social media savvy. I am one of the few terminally online in my group who is generally able to identify 'fake news'. My friends actually call me frequently when they hear some unbelievable political story and ask me to explain it to them. I decipher political news for my job. Most people don't have the time to sit, study and discuss the political news of the day with colleagues. I like to think I have kept my friend group from lurching Left because I can direct them to news sources which are reliable.
They’ve been indoctrinated into a cult of ignorance.

Purposefully.
They live with such low self esteem and project their insecurities onto the world around them with utter venom and complete ignorance of truth.
Regrettably, these women convince themselves they’re serving a noble cause, redirecting the fierce 'Mama Bear' instincts once used to shield their children toward defending those on the Left they perceive as wronged. In doing so, their behavior can spiral to unsettling extremes. My advice to other college-educated white women who haven’t lost their perspective is this: don’t give up on reaching out to your friends. Keep the lines of communication open. There’s also hope that their children, who often seem to make more balanced political choices than their mothers, might be able to break through and influence them.
