Today, the annoyingly dishonest Kamala campaign Twitter account shared a video of J.D. Vance they believed would be a real 'gotcha'. They are, of course, expecting their followers to be enraged by their inflammatory tweet and not take the time to listen to the actual video. The sad thing is a whole bunch of angry commenters did just that. I took the time, however, to listen.
Unearthed video: JD Vance says he and Trump will “go to war against” childless people, who he calls “sad, lonely, and pathetic”: “They should feel like their life is inadequate” pic.twitter.com/dcLZ2wNxyd

In the video, Vance talks about having a conversation with his sister, a woman who has dedicated her life to her family. Like most women, she wonders aloud if not going to college and pursuing a career was a mistake now that her children are independent. Vance sweetly reminds her she did the most important work. He acknowledges the hard work she did helping to raise him in a chaotic household with a mother who was an addict, and praises her for the wonderful job she has done rearing her own children into happy and healthy people. It's so lovely to hear a politician acknowledge motherhood as the most important work. It's clear he wants his sister to see herself as valued and very important to the good of society. It brought a tear to my eye.
We shouldn’t expect honesty here, but Vance clearly says we need to go to war against the “anti-child ideology,” not childless people. (I’d question how much NYT lifestyle pieces are affecting birth rates but that’s another issue.) https://t.co/IVQHDt8Tcw

Exactly! His problem is with societal forces who try to talk people out of having families. Vance realizes any culture will eventually crumble without rock solid families.
FAKE NEWS — @JDVance said we should go to war against the "anti-child movement" led by Democrats like Kamala, who told young people not to have kids because of climate change.

The JV Kamala campaign has NOTHING BUT LIES. https://t.co/Hr7f2AiLWx
They're lying. Here's what JD actually said & he's 100% right!

He said people who base their life's meaning only on work/education are "sad, lonely & pathetic."
He said we need to "go to war against the anti-child IDEOLOGY in our country," not childless adults.@CommunityNotes https://t.co/zlDxYlU3gm
The Democrats don't want women to hear these comments because they know most women will appreciate the sentiments he expresses. They hope if they misconstrue his words, they can make voters hate him without really giving him a chance.
The amount of coping and seething in the replies to this very measured and common-sensical take by Vance is staggering. These liberals are truly deranged. https://t.co/YPnOfhEQhD

I’m pretty sure that this is a closeted @JDVance Stan account. Every time they tell me to watch a Vance clip, the guy’s ideas sound awesome. https://t.co/kdZEe0pivI

This! Vance's comments are very mainstream and normal. The fact the Left is pretending they are OUTRAGEOUS says much about the priorities of this actually weird political party.
