Americans watching as Israel was terrorized this weekend looked to our elected officials for assurance and comfort. Some of those leaders hit just the right note.
Israel is now under attack by Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists. Iran has helped fund this war against Israel and Joe Biden's policies that have gone easy on Iran have helped fill their coffers.

We are going to stand with Israel as they root out Hamas and we need to stand up to… pic.twitter.com/FENQtAxiDE
Ron DeSantis articulated a firm commitment to the Israeli people. On the other hand, there was the members of 'The Squad', also sneeringly referred to as the 'Hamas Caucus' by some.
These devastating attacks on Israelis are deeply alarming and my heart breaks for the victims & their loved ones.

We need an immediate ceasefire & de-escalation.
It is long past time to stop this cycle of violence & trauma, and work toward a just & lasting peace in the region. https://t.co/mPUukLKYg6
I condemn the horrific acts we are seeing unfold today in Israel against children, women, the elderly, and the unarmed people who are being slaughtered and taken hostage by Hamas. Such senseless violence will only repeat the back and forth cycle we've seen, which we cannot allow…

Congresswoman Tlaib who identifies herself as 'Palestinian American' in her Twitter bio, has had nothing to say on this topic thus far. That is the least surprising development today.
“… immediate ceasefire & de-escalation.”

I’m gonna have to disagree with the Hamas Caucus, here.
Terrorists don’t get to drag families out of their homes, murder or kidnap and torture them, and then kindly ask for a ceasefire. https://t.co/YHGTQiLFRm
Of the three who did manage a comment, they all used the 'immediate ceasefire and de-escalation' language. That is telling. They want to be be clear they blame Israel for the attacks today. They see this as another strike in the back and forth between the two. It is anything but. This attack targeted innocents during a Jewish holiday. The only victim is Israel and the Israeli people. Hamas is a terrorist organization and to have Congress members wink at them, should disgust all Americans.
Nope. A couple of well placed drone strikes is the only answer.

Absolutely correct . Israel will determine when it is enough. I think this will last several days to rid the earth of these terrorists

The whole squad used the same language.

Telling.
The talking points have gone out. All anti-Israel entities want a “ceasefire.”

A retaliatory response with the strategic objective of neutralizing the Hamas threat is not “senseless violence.” It’s quite purposeful, in fact. https://t.co/1pjXIWO7qK

Israel deserves 100 percent of American support until they feel the threat is sufficiently alleviated.
