Michael Knowles, political and social commentator, recently tweeted what he believes would be a good way to fix the divorce problem in America.
Since I have the attention of the red-pill movement, I would once again like to propose the Knowles Prenuptial Agreement, which stipulates that whoever initiates divorce forfeits everything.

Most Americans would agree the breakdown of the family unit is a big reason for the cultural rot we are facing in this country. For full disclosure as I write this, I have been married and divorced. I initiated the divorce for reasons the Bible allows as I am a Christian. I believe adultery and abuse are reasons to seek divorce. I also know friends who have faced infidelity in their marriages and have worked hard to save their marriages. I find that brave and am happy to see some of those couples now thriving after much heartache. With that being said, we clearly have many people leaving marriage just because they 'fell out of love' or 'aren't happy', all very subjective emotions.
I'm down if we can have an exception for a spouse who can legally prove cheating or abuse.

3 states offer covenant marriage contracts on a voluntary basis, which can only be broken for the traditional faults: abuse, abandonment, addiction, adultery. AZ, AR, LA. Unfortunately as w state gay marriage laws in 00s, there’s a full faith and credit issue with enforcement.

As an aside, if you go to the court clerks in one of these states and ask for the documents to convert your marriage, they will look at you like you have 3 heads, ask me how I know 😂

Certainly, those who are religious should have a deeper commitment to marriage as you make that vow before God and it is far less about the government and laws.

Adultery counts as forfeiture as well. Also proven abuse, emotional or physical.
My ex wanted out of the relationship but wanted me to initiate it, so she tried cheating on me in front of me. She was also super abusive.
Well, she got her wish, with 50%.
We should probably deal with the mental health crisis first, so people have a chance at staying married... and alive.

I would say that’s a great idea. My exceptions would be if there is proven infidelity or abuse
— Nate Butler (@realnatebutler) September 23, 2023
I would support this so long as it had an abuse provision: if you're found guilty of abusing your spouse, the spouse has the option of divorcing you, and YOU forfeit everything because of your abuse.

There were lots of thoughts on the idea.
My wife and I have a prenuptial agreement that whoever files must have their right arm amputated.

So, she is literally your right hand woman? Giggle.
Sooo, if a husband or wife abuses, abandons, or commits adultery, the remaining spouse forfeits any accrued assets over the course of the marriage if they do the paperwork to end the marriage? At the very least, a division of assets provides compensation for damages done by the… https://t.co/YtEz37B70t

Clearly, Knowles' plan is far from fool proof, and there would have to be exceptions to the rule.
AKA the cheating husband who controls the finances will continue cheating and lying to his stay at home wife (which he wanted her to be) while she raises his children, therefore making her unable to leave because she will be left with absolutely nothing https://t.co/vzj7bFTmkM

This is why adultery would nullify this rule. Adultery is a form of abuse, just of the emotional variety.
so let's say your wife cheats on you 15 times in one day and you want a divorce but she doesn't, so you're saying that you are willing to give you all of your money and property to divorce her or are you saying you won't divorce even after that? https://t.co/1RGk9nFta2
— Alf Benny 🧢 (@alfbennymedia) September 23, 2023
I would not divorce my wife for any reason. But, happily, I’m reasonably confident that she wouldn’t cheat on me 15 times in one day. https://t.co/JBhGN8bDzm

That's a relief. Heh.
Why not just get rid of no fault divorce Michael?

A good start!
— Michael Knowles (@michaeljknowles) September 22, 2023
A good start and perhaps the best idea. Perhaps, couples should have to work their way out of marriage rather than simply filing paper work and paying high priced attorneys. Clearly, it is an endemic cultural problem in America and there have been far worse ideas to address it.
