Doctor cites MLK to explain how 'compassionate' late term abortion is

Willie J. Parker, a Washington DC based doctor professes to be a Christian yet he still performs late term abortions because he thinks it is compassionate.

Parker explained why to the New Jersey Star-Ledger.

In listening to a sermon by Dr. Martin Luther King, I came to a deeper understanding of my spirituality, which places a higher value on compassion. King said what made the good Samaritan “good” is that instead of focusing on would happen to him by stopping to help the traveler, he was more concerned about what would happen to the traveler if he didn’t stop to help.

I became more concerned about what would happen to these women if I, as an obstetrician, did not help them.

If you happen to be traveling inside the womb, you’re out of luck. No compassion for you. It’s a deeply spiritual thing you probably wouldn’t understand unless you were a doctor—like Kermit Gosnell … or maybe Josef Mengele.

It’s quite sad that Parker would invoke Martin Luther King, Jr. as the catalyst of his “deeper understanding” given that King was not a supporter of abortion culture.

Dr. King’s niece, Alveda King, a stalwart pro-life advocate, explained to WMAL’s Larry O’Connor and Brian Wilson that her uncle would not accept Planned Parenthood’s “Margaret Sanger Award.” (Seriously, Planned Parenthood gave Martin Luther King, Jr. an award named after a racist advocate of eugenics. They must have achieved their own bogus “deeper understanding of their spirituality,” because that it is beyond twisted.)

Bingo.

At least.

There it is in a nutshell. Deeper understanding of spirituality or flimsy rationalization for doing wrong?

Ever notice how left wing crazies have no problem trying to use Jesus to support their morally bankrupt philosophy but they always freak out over genuine expressions of Christianity?
