Thanks for the review, Contempto McSneeryPants! “Duck Dynasty” fans, professional critic Richard Roeper wants you to know he’s more enlightened than you rubes:
Of course all "reality" shows manufacture situations, but the "Duck Dynasty" special I saw makes "The Bachelor" look like a Ken Burns film.
— Richard Roeper (@richardroeper) December 26, 2013
@richardroeper Having expectations for it to be anything more than craptacular is reason enough to keep drinking instead.

@mapthoughts Excellent point.

THAT guy caused such a stir? He's a bump on the head away from claiming he's met aliens and saying, "O-Qua Tangin Wann."
— Richard Roeper (@richardroeper) December 26, 2013
Yikes! Some people view the “Duck Dynasty” patriarch’s expression of religious beliefs in a different light than Roeper. Heaven forfend!
@richardroeper I don't think "that guy" caused the stir. He just answered questions. Everyone else took the ball & ran in every direction.
— Keith Garlington (@KeithGarlington) December 26, 2013
@KeithGarlington That's disingenuous. He "just answered questions"? No, he answered questions by giving bigoted, ignorant beliefs.
— Richard Roeper (@richardroeper) December 26, 2013
@KeithGarlington But I should have said "ignited a firestorm." It's not his fault the story was so ludicrously overblown.
— Richard Roeper (@richardroeper) December 26, 2013
@richardroeper "Bigoted, ignorant beliefs". That's certainly 'intolerant' of you. An unfortunate side effect of arrogant, elitist attitudes.
— Keith Garlington (@KeithGarlington) December 26, 2013

@KeithGarlington That's not what "intolerant" means. You're so close-minded it cripples your comprehension skills. Moving on. Bye!
— Richard Roeper (@richardroeper) December 26, 2013
@richardroeper Sorry, 'intolerant' perfectly fits ur position. I'd bet u haven't give an ounce of honest thought 2 what he was really saying
— Keith Garlington (@KeithGarlington) December 26, 2013
@richardroeper And it's not about disagreeing. It's about respecting the other side – something both sides seem incapable of doing.
— Keith Garlington (@KeithGarlington) December 26, 2013
Roeper also retweeted this:
@richardroeper uh oh people will be mad at you and think you hate Jesus when you clown on their Duck Dynasty
— The Dijonnaise (@gymkata_) December 26, 2013
So edgy. So relevant.
Say, was anyone wondering what Richard Roeper was up to on Christmas? We see almost 22,000 favorites on Sadie Robertson’s tweet about Phil Robertson’s touching Christmas gift to his wife, Miss Kay. Seems like people care how “THAT guy” and his “bump on the head” family celebrated.
Is somebody jealous?
