Get ready for today’s Detroit news to launch a thousand progressive meltdowns. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Steven Rhodes ruled he’ll consider cuts to city employees’ pensions in Detroit’s bankruptcy.
BREAKING: Judge Rhodes rules that Detroit pensions get no more favorable standing and can be cut.

One prog thug on the #UniteBlue hashtag kicked off the civility parade with something that looked an awful lot like a death threat.

The threat was deleted, but as always, Twitchy is forever.
Wow, that is totally a threat. One of the most unmistakable threats I have seen on Twitter. @RBPundit @dominicnanni pic.twitter.com/lDwp2MDx3F

His excuse? It wasn’t a threat, you illiterate imbeciles!
@Cameron_Gray @safety @RBPundit @FBIDetroit It wasn't a threat from me. It was an assumption that people in Detroit are probably very angry.
— Dominic Polo Nanni ????????? (@dominicnanni) December 3, 2013
Twitter verdict: obvious threat.

@dominicnanni Threats of violence, how progressive and tolerant. The judge ruled, now it's law. Deal.

More threats from the left – @safety, meet @dominicnanni – MT @RBPundit: @FBIDetroit You might want to follow up. https://t.co/u1OxF4nZ0A

Oh look. Little @dominicnanni is threatening a judge with physical violence. https://t.co/Wl1l9IahbG

I think the FBI should investigate this threat on a Judge. Just in case. https://t.co/Rzij7ut6AN

Ah, the inevitable attempt to walk back his threat:
Clearly my previous tweet was taken out of context. cc: @FBIDEtroit, @FBIPressOffice, @detroitpolice, @MichStatePolice.
— Dominic Polo Nanni ????????? (@dominicnanni) December 3, 2013
What my previous tweet should have said: if Judge Rhodes did ever come to #Detroit, there would be many angry citizens here. End of story.
— Dominic Polo Nanni ????????? (@dominicnanni) December 3, 2013
My apologies if a previous tweet was taken out of context by many people.
— Dominic Polo Nanni ????????? (@dominicnanni) December 3, 2013
Geez, people. My tweet was a half-thought reaction to very personal news. I apologize and it was/is nothing more.

Out of context? RT @dominicnanni My apologies if a previous tweet was taken out of context by many people.

Lest we be accused of omitting the “context,” here are the two tweets from Dominic Nanni that preceded the threat.
BREAKING: Judge rules that #Detroit is eligible for bankruptcy protection. (via @AP)
— Dominic Polo Nanni ????????? (@dominicnanni) December 3, 2013
@MomMilkshake @RBPundit @JimmyPrinceton The political party of the judge doesn't matter.
— Dominic Polo Nanni ????????? (@dominicnanni) December 3, 2013
How’s that for “context”? Really changes things, huh?
Need more? Here’s what reportedly appeared on his Facebook page:
Lots more “context” from @dominicnanni on Facebook – RT @Tyler_McNally: Long live #UniteBlue "tolerance." http://t.co/2PcqcDjqKG

A larger view:
We’ll see if the authorities buy the whole “out of context” routine.
@RBPundit The "Out of context" Defense. Often followed by the "I was hacked" Gambit and the "I'm entering treatment" Feint. @dominicnanni

@dominicnanni @msnbc @RBPundit did you apologize because you felt bad or because you were reported to @FBIDetroit?

Social Media Followers and Friends —
Earlier this morning, I made a remark about Judge Rhodes and his decision to allow public pensions to be cut as part of bankruptcy protection. This tweet caused an extremely adverse reaction from people across the aisle. While I remind myself every time I post something that shouldn’t be posted, I seemed to have forgotten the extreme importance of paying attention to what exactly I post. I apologize for this and it will not happen again.
Best regards,
dpn
