According to IMDB, “Vampire Diaries” actor Ian Somerhalder is of French, English, Irish, and Choctaw descent:
His father, Robert Somerhalder, a building contractor, was of French and English descent. His mother, Edna, who grew up on a pig farm in Mississippi, has English and Irish ancestry, and is said to have Choctaw roots.
