There’s bad timing. And then there’s bad timing.
Seen in window of DC newsstand: Entertainment Weekly's latest Batman cover with headline: Batman's Killer Finale.

Oooof… Tough cover @EW pic.twitter.com/2BmZobDy

I feel for whoever at Entertainment Weekly came up with last issue's cover copy.

Although the truly unfortunate Entertainment Weekly cover is dated July 20, it was released well before the Aurora massacre that occurred during a screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.” Some Twitter users took Entertainment Weekly to task.
@EW your latest cover story #Batman "Killer Finale" is not the best choice of words considering what just occurred in #Aurora.

Saw a magazine cover that said batman finale was a killer. That's low._#tasteless

But most realize the “Batman’s Killer Finale” copy was a terrible coincidence that Entertainment Weekly editors wish they could undo.
Dear Everyone: I know the cover of EW says, "Batman's Killer Finale", get over it. Cover planned months ago – no way to anticipate shooting.

New issue of EW came in the mail. Its cover story is the Dark Knight Rises. Its headline? BATMAN'S KILLER FINALE. That's unfortunate timing.

Anyone see Entertainment Weekly's cover story? "Batman's Killer Finale" I bet they wish they could have recalled that issue.

Still, some thought the issue should be pulled from the shelves.
Shouldn't Entertainment Weekly @EW take latest issue with this unfortunate Batman cover off shelves? #theatreshootings pic.twitter.com/cD3CaAqu

Entertainment Weekly should have this pulled from shelves. That headline is an awful reminder. http://t.co/OpuhBFKo

The cover still appears on the Entertainment Weekly website.
