'I am dying': The Babylon Bee's response to Snopes fact-checking its story about AOC and the 'Price is Right' is FANTASTIC

Earlier this year, the Babylon Bee (which is a SATIRICAL website) published a piece mocking Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for wanting everything to be free.

The story used the “Price is Right” television show.

Apparently, Snopes (which hails itself as the “definitive fact-checking site and reference source for urban legends, folklore, myths, rumors, and misinformation”) doesn’t understand satire.

They notified the Bee that the story was … get this … not, in fact, true.

Check out this bombshell from the Snopes story:

The Babylon Bee is an entertainment website that does not publish factual content.

In response, the Babylon Bee wrote an editor’s note that’s as humorous as the story itself:

EDITOR’S NOTE: We have been notified by Snopes.com that this story is not true. After reviewing the evidence, we would like to retract it. Ocasio-Cortez did not actually appear on The Price Is Right and guess that everything is free. In fact, it appears that this entire story was completely made up. Everything else on our site is still true, however. We apologize for any confusion.

LOL!

They are FAKE NEWS!

Sadly, though, this isn’t the first time Snopes has been fooled.

And it probably won’t be the last time.

But this was hilarious.

Well done, Bee.
