In the wake of BuzzFeed’s “bombshell” report about instructions Trump supposedly gave to his former lawyer Michel Cohen, Buck Sexton shares his thoughts about the “if-true journalism” that seems to be becoming the norm these days.

The weaponizing of speculation is a very good way to phrase it, and it is such a disservice to publish things about without corroboration and force people to spend time and energy reacting to rampant, baseless speculation.

While Chuck Todd tells us that there is accountability in journalism today, the BuzzFeed incident shows that there are major problems with how “reporting” is being conducted.

Keep in mind, the BuzzFeed story was shot down by special counsel Robert Mueller.
