Here is U.S. House candidate Dan Crenshaw’s (R-Texas) response to the Saturday Night Live skit that mocked his war injury.
Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended. That being said, I hope @nbcsnl recognizes that vets don’t deserve to see their wounds used as punchlines for bad jokes.

Comedian Pete Davidson mocked Crenshaw on SNL by saying, “You may be surprised to hear he’s a Congressional candidate from Texas and not a hitman in a porno movie.”
Because wounded vets are HILARIOUS: Greg Gutfeld OWNS SNL for mocking GOP candidate who lost his eye in the war https://t.co/gIi01YVCss

The tweet was a very classy response from Crenshaw to SNL’s shameful attempt at comedy.

Others who were outraged at the mockery replied in support of Crenshaw.
Agreed. I'd argue no one does, but that's especially true when those wounds are earned in the service of other people. https://t.co/kEf5seoPHb

Not that it is a surprise that SNL would sink to this low, but mocking those who defend the freedom of Davidson and others on the show to pursue their careers in comedy should ALWAYS be off limits.
