Former Deputy Secretary of State in the Obama administration Philippe Reins apparently doesn’t have a problem with Mitch McConnell being harassed while eating dinner.
Here is Obama's former deputy secretary of state, Philippe Reines, excusing, and perhaps even promoting, attacking Mitch McConnell while he eats with his wife in a restaurant. McConnell "got away with murder" on Merrick Garland, so "this is fine." pic.twitter.com/6A70d9hIqR

The behavior is excusable because McConnell got “away with murder” by refusing to bring Obama Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland up for a Senate vote in 2016.
Why is it so difficult for everyone to decry this type of behavior? Stop harassing people while they are out to dinner with their families. It’s really not that hard!! https://t.co/C2dOGq3Np8

Reines also calls it “such a made up problem” because of the First Amendment.
Actually, it is a real problem … for Democrats who want to get elected in November.
"People are doing this because it's all that's left."
This is an absolute lie. We can express ourselves on Twitter, Facebook, blogs, at rallies…we can VOTE. There are numerous civil options. This is unnecessary and unhelpful. https://t.co/LczhzaFEHo

1) The zero pushback on idea that the Proud Boys are white nationalists, which they're specifically not, is why media trust is in toilet. 2) The "what happened to Pelosi is different" is lol. And 3) RIP Merrick Garland. https://t.co/2mPX1w6Zbi

Philippe Reines was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State during the Obama administration … under Hillary Clinton.
