Former Department of Homeland Security Secretary in the Obama administration Jeh Johnson admits without reservation that the administration he worked for detained children and families crossing the border because they “believed it was necessary.”

Johnson told Fox News Sunday:
“Without a doubt the images, and the reality, from 2014, just like 2018, are not pretty,” said Johnson. “We expanded it, I freely admit it was controversial, we believed it was necessary at the time, I still believe it is necessary to remain a certain capability for families.”
We don’t seem to remember anyone being thrown out of restaurants at that point in history.
