The Department of Education is ready for the day to end … at least on Twitter. It started this morning, when the department published a quote of W.E.B. Du Bois. The problem was that the account spelled his named as “DeBois.”
Education must not simply teach work – it must teach life. – W.E.B. DeBois pic.twitter.com/Re4cWkPSFA

While that is not the worst mistake ever made, it isn’t what you want to read from the Department of Education. To compound the issue, the DOED released an apology that said “our deepest apologizes.” It is captured in the following screenshot.

A few hours later, two correctional tweets were published.

Post updated – our deepest apologies for the earlier typo.

Just not a good Twitter day for the Department of Education. Of course, the Left wasted no time in placing the blame squarely on Betsy DeVos’ shoulders.

The @usedgov Twitter account is just pitiful. Betsy DeVos musta come in and fired anyone who can spell. SAD!

this is disgraceful. @BetsyDeVos you're a joke. I'm so worried for our public school children.
