Actress and model Cara Delevingne showed up at the Met Gala last night wearing and outfit with “Pet the Patriarchy” emblazoned on the front (and if you don’t know what that means, just don’t use your work computer when you look it up):

But in a hilarious twist, artist Luna Matatas says she owns the trademark to “Peg the Patriarchy” and she accused Delevingne of using it without her permission.
“So just came here to say, proud day for subverting the patriarchy when my art makes it to the #MetGala,” she tweeted:
I'm the creator of Peg the Patriarchy and owner of the trademark. So just came here to say, proud day for subverting the patriarchy when my art makes it to the #MetGala. Support queer art: https://t.co/M18xG3sw9F 💗🖤

Matatas sells merchandise with that slogan on her website, too:
And her pinned tweet is all the way back in 2016:

Shouldn’t Delevingne, at the very least, buy a T-shirt?
I feel so loved and supported. Thank you for everyone tagging and reaching out about Peg the Patriarchy® being at the #MetGala 🥰. @Caradelevingne co-owner of @LoraDiCarlo_HQ didn't credit or mention me, so you an support me by buying my art and continuing to tag me. 💗🖤
