Infectious disease expert on MSNBC: 'We are going to be protected from the delta variant because we've had many of the high-risk people vaccinated'

We regret to inform the COVID-19 alarmists that we’ll be just fine now that the Delta variant is taking hold here in the United States.

From infectious disease expert Amesh Adalja, on MSNBC no less:

And we “are going to be protected from the delta variant because we’ve had many of the high-risk people vaccinated”:

Dr. Scott Gottlieb said the same thing on CNBC earlier today:

Based on what’s happening in the UK, unvaccinated people are getting it but hospitalizations and deaths are not rising:

In other words, the vaccines are working:

The CDC isn’t changing its recommendations, at least not yet:

But Los Angeles County, however, IS recommending mask-wearing indoors again but is not yet mandating it:
