Gov. Andrew Cuomo just issued a new statement, saying he “now understand that my interactions may have been insensitive or too personal and that some of my comments, given my position, made others feel in ways I never intended”:

But, more importantly, he’s totally caved and will now give state AG Tish James to appoint an independent lawyer to conduct the investigation:
