The Washington Post’s Chelsea Jane was on hand in Orlando yesterday to cover the Trump 2020 kickoff rally where she posted this video of the area where the “overflow crowd” was supposed to be. It was raining on-and-off all day yesterday which we assume kept the crowds down:
This is the scene outside Amway Center 50 minutes before the official start of President Trump’s re-election kickoff. People still filing into arena. This is the area set aside for overflow crowd to watch on big screen. pic.twitter.com/brk1OXe3Wq

And then she learned that it’s not such a great idea to be standing around in the dirt after a rainstorm in Florida as that’s when the fire ants swarm:
Incidentally, I have just come to the jarring and painful realization that I suffered about two dozen fire ant bites in the making of this video, and my ankles may never be the same. https://t.co/KToPE6yJP6

It also appears the Post kept her outside in the rain for . . . more videos of the empty space?
Rain beginning to fall out here, about 30 minutes before the start of President’s rally. As far as I can tell, people are still being allowed into the arena. Out here, people are borrowing umbrellas from abandoned chairs. pic.twitter.com/qnz0Txul4I

And:

Um, get out of the rain, please. Thank you.
