Welcome to the 2020 race, Gov. Steve Bullock of Montana:
To give everyone a fair shot, we must do more than defeat Donald Trump. We have to defeat the corrupt system that keeps people like him in power, and we need a fighter who's done it before.
That's why I'm running for President. Join our team: https://t.co/TZXr9AcDr7 pic.twitter.com/XZ0LPUbtBx

This makes 22 candidates running for the Dem nomination:
The number of Democratic presidential candidates hit 22: Gov. Steve Bullock of Montana joined the race, vowing to regulate big money in politics. https://t.co/KS1I78FEE9

Or maybe it’s 23? It’s hard to keep track:
Montana Gov. Steve Bullock just became the 23rd Democratic candidate to enter the presidential race. https://t.co/H41EtOeRhA

Anyway, Bullock’s late entry means he likely won’t qualify for the first debate:
Went to Montana over the weekend and saw this bear – but also talked with Steve Bullock about why he thinks it’s not too late to get into the 2020 race, including how he plans to counterprogram a debate stage he’s unlikely to qualify for https://t.co/XOZ9ICdkWX pic.twitter.com/HtHoLA31TN

Dem activists will be angry that Bullock isn’t trying for a Senate run:
Beto is polling at 2%. He could beat Cornyn in TX.
Hickenlooper is polling at 1%. He could beat Gardner in CO.
Bullock is polling at 0%. He could beat Daines in MT.
Stacey Abrams isn’t even running. She could beat Perdue in GA.We *need* the Senate in 2020.
