A security guard for an Oakland news crew is in the hospital after exchanging gunfire with armed robber

A security guard contracted by local CBS affiliate KPIX 5 in Oakland was shot and wounded in a gun battle with an armed man who attempted to rob the crew of its camera while they were covering the teacher strike earlier today:

According to Vazquez, the security guard, identified only as Matt, looks like he will be OK:

According to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was also wounded in the exchange of gunfire and is under arrest:
