CNN’s Jim Acosta posted a series of videos to Twitter featuring his interactions with Trump supporters at the president’s rally in Ft. Myers, Fla. on Wednesday, because there’s just not enough coverage on how the media is treated at these events.
First up is this guy who, while dressed as Trump, had quite a lot to say about George Soros:
Had a hell of a night in Fort Myers. One guy dressed as Trump was going off on Soros. pic.twitter.com/IMqdKQkY6r

This guy on the left actually apologized to Acosta for giving him the finger at an earlier rally, saying all he wants are “facts and not opinions”:
Had a hell of a night in Fort Myers. This man apologized for giving me the finger at a rally earlier this year in Tampa. Really. We had a moment. pic.twitter.com/Kfm0J0TbsC

This woman, who asked if George Soros supplements his income, was actually pretty nice and ended the conversation with “I do like you, I do follow you”:
Had some other interesting interactions with Trump supporters last night. This person asked me if George Soros is paying me to ask Trump questions. I told her no. pic.twitter.com/O3ZPj20wla

And finally, this guy wants to know if the CIA or any “other government entity” is paying Acosta:
Had some other interesting interactions with Trump supporters. This man asked me if I am on the CIA’s payroll. I am not. Never have been. pic.twitter.com/AUDM9F5OEu

Ezra Klein gets it, even though Acosta doesn’t:
I'm part of the media. I loathe the reckless, dangerous way Trump talks about reporters.
But it's clear that this is the fight he wants. It's the fight he knows how to play us into giving him every single time. I'm not sure we should keep indulging him.
