Just to follow up on that story we told you yesterday about the Secret Service blocking CBS News reporter Errol Barnett from asking Ivanka and Jared Kushner questions as the exited a commercial flight from D.C. to NYC, the Secret Service has responded and is blaming Barnett for making an “abrupt movement” as he turned to interview the couple:
Just spoke with @SecretService;
“The actions of the special agent… were in no way intended to impede [first amendment] rights” or access to Kushner. pic.twitter.com/QxvC58rlLM

Barnett, however, says he identified himself “before moving”:
They also claim the incident was result of “abrupt movement by an unknown individual who later identified themselves as a member of the media.”
I responded, it is clear I identify myself before moving or asking my question.

Oh, come on. The video isn’t clear about any of this and maybe trying to interview a subject under Secret Service protection inside of a giant aluminum tube was never the best plan to begin with.
