Take a bow, Hollywood. Last night’s ratings for the Emmys set a record for “all-time low”:
#Emmy ratings drop 10 percent from last year's all time low. SNL taking over an award show was probably not a good idea. https://t.co/OT6PeJn8cx

NBC had moved the awards how from its traditional slot on Sunday night to Monday in order to accomodate Sunday Night Football:
For those commenting Emmy Awards ratings were trash because held on Monday night, NBC ain't touching SNF, Emmys should be looking for new broadcast partner with avail Sunday night

Flashback: Remember when Meryl Streep criticized football at the Golden Globes?
"If you get rid of the arts, you'll be left with just football" – Meryl Streep
Golden Globes 16 ratings = 18.5 mil.
Super Bowl 16 = 167 mil— Jon Acuff (@JonAcuff) January 9, 2017
Tell that to NBC, Meryl, who put football ahead of the arts. Oof.
And this means ratings this year were ever lower than last year’s “all-time low”:
.@MatthewGilbert: It's hard to say why the Emmys rating were at an all-time low https://t.co/PD3fwbditQ

So, telling Jesus jokes about white Republicans didn’t score viewers? WEIRD!
Emmys host Michael Che says the only white people who thank Jesus at award shows are Republicans, 'ex-crackheads' https://t.co/bOpxIMWOnH

No tweet yet from the president, but here’s what he had to say about the “all-time low” in 2017:
I was saddened to see how bad the ratings were on the Emmys last night – the worst ever. Smartest people of them all are the "DEPLORABLES."
