As we told you yesterday, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis pushed back, quite forcefully, on quotes attributed to him in Bob Woodward’s new book that he called the president an “idiot”:

But here’s a new quote from the book floating around that we hope is true. According to Woodward, Mattis got so mad at then press secretary Sean Spicer that he said, “I’ve killed people for a living. If you call me again, I’m going to f*cking send you to Afghanistan. Are we clear?”
100% “bad*ss line”:
And it’s “not hard to imagine” the secretary saying this:
No word yet from Sean Spicer on what he has to say about the quote, but we’ll keep you posted.
