ISIS is claiming responsibility for last week’s mass shooting in Toronto that left two dead, calling alleged gunman Faisal Hussain a “soldier of the Islamic State”:

Although the terror group didn’t release any evidence to back this up:
Isis claims responsibility for #Toronto attack but provides zero evidence.
Statement: "The attacker "was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the attack in response to calls to target the citizens of the coalition countries"#Danforth https://t.co/739BvZx7NE

But CBS News did report, quoting “investigators,” that Hussain “visited ISIS websites and may have expressed support for the terrorist group”:

Hussain’s family, however, says he suffered from mental issues:

But that narrative is being challenged in Canada:
Retd Toronto Police Officer on #TorontoShooter: "U can't do what he did & have severe mental problems. Heck, even a normal person couldn't just pick up an automatic gun, fire it 20 times, hit 14 ppl while on the move, reload several magazines, and then shoot out with the police."

Hussain, who reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after the rampage, killed a 10-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman:

And in response, Toronto is considering even stricter gun control:
