Brian Williams, who was suspended and lost his job as the anchor of the “NBC Nightly News” after he was caught fabricating stories, wants us to believe he has a “source” that says President Trump might not have known we have U.S. troops in Qatar:
Brian Williams on @MSNBC says a source tells him and @NicolleDWallace they're not sure Trump knew there were Americans stationed in Qatar.

This is, quite honestly, not believable and sounds a lot like some of the made-up comments Williams was disciplined for in the past. In essence, Williams is saying the president doesn’t know a thing about this:
Qatar is home to the biggest US military base in the Mideast. There are roughly 10,000 Americans stationed there. https://t.co/bm70iLrF39

The “source” was responding to the president’s recent tweets on Qatar:
During my recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of Radical Ideology. Leaders pointed to Qatar – look!

So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off. They said they would take a hard line on funding…

…extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism!

The White House has since offered to help mediate the ongoing crisis:
