Art of the Deal 2.0: We are no longer asking Mexico to pay for the wall?

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was on “This Week” Sunday morning and this clip caught our eye. So much for Mexico paying for the wall anytime soon: “We had no conversation about that issue…”:

Also note if you didn’t watch the clip above, Tillerson totally dodged when asked point blank, “Is it the policy of the United States that Mexico must pay for that wall?” From ABC:

“That’s surprising to me … since President Trump spoke about it so often during the campaign,” Stephanopoulos said. “Is it the policy of the United States that Mexico must pay for that wall?”

“George, it’s just not part of our discussions between the foreign minister and myself,” Tillerson said.

Tillerson also talked up how much illegal immigration has fallen since Trump took office (which is a good thing), but that also cuts the need for a wall in the first place. To be continued…
