A tweet directed at Donald Trump from the New Republic saying “f*** me daddy” briefly appeared on the magazine’s timeline this afternoon before being quickly deleted.

Oh, we have a screenshot (of course!):
And no, the New Republic wasn’t hacked. It looks like magazine turned its official Twttier account over to some woman named Tricia Lockwood in order to promote her new piece on Donald Trump for the vertically integrated digital media company and she’s the one responsible for the offensive message:
In a few minutes, you can ask @TriciaLockwood all your questions about her adventures in #Trumplandia. https://t.co/mGpUG7iouu

It's me … it's @TriciaLockwood! Due to a hideous cyberspill, I am now a Magazine, here to answer your questions #Trumplandia

No apology yet from TNR, but they did thank Lockwood for a job well done!
Thanks to @TriciaLockwood for taking over our Twitter account. Her piece on #Trumplandia: https://t.co/Q3rqV7Qsv2 pic.twitter.com/CxOSRGRlKn

Idiots.
Update. New Republic responds:
In her Twitter Q&A, @TriciaLockwood made a reference to her essay that we decided to delete. https://t.co/TW1FolejCZ pic.twitter.com/j9DflPWLYZ
