Sam Stein of the HuffPo noticed a somewhat odd story in the New York Daily News this morning titled, “Meet the man who smeared Kim Kardashian in baby oil for controversial butt pic talks photo shoot.” For real:
Scoring the tough interviews; breaking the big stories; getting the great quotes pic.twitter.com/VqmI0PJR42

And Stein’s readers joined him in mocking the paper:
@samsteinhp And it took two reporters to pull it off.

@samsteinhp So did he 'spray it' or did he 'smear it' or did he 'pump it.' Very confused.

@samsteinhp "It's so crazy. It's just a basic baby oil product." So crazy.

@BradCTucker we need answers dammit
— Sam Stein (@samstein) November 14, 2014
@samsteinhp Wow, this is getting more coverage than the latest dr. being flown back for Ebola treatment. Good though, it's a bigger threat.

Oh, and this line from the story just might signal the end of the world:
“Everyone keeps asking me about it,” he said. “It’s so crazy. It’s just a basic baby oil product.”
“Everyone” is asking about the oil. Really? If so, we’re doomed.
