A rocket was fired at the U.S. embassy in Sanaa, Yemen earlier today, and thankfully, no U.S. personnel were injured:

Huge mystery as a "decimated", "on the run" Al Qaeda manages to fire rocket at US Embassy in Yemen #tcot

Reuters is reporting the terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia, an affiliate of al Qaeda, is taking credit for the attack in retaliation for a recent drone strike in Yemen.
The U.S. embassy, however, tweeted out that there’s no indication that our facilities were the target:
We have no reason to believe the US Embassy was target. Chancery unaffected. Yemeni government looking into situation. #Yemen

And Yemen expert Jane Novak adds that claims from Ansar al-Sharia aren’t always credible:
. @adammbaron Ansar al Shairia (alBeladi, #DAESH linked, beheading wing #AQAP) ehadis also took "credit" #Sanaa attack that never happened

Yes, it’s a mess:
Our Embassy in Yemen is in the middle of a mess right now. Been bad for days since the peace agreement broke down

End note: So much for those White House claims that Yemen is successful model in how we fight terrorism:
. @Bookwormdearlor yes we played the sound last night on #KellyFile on how WH said just yesterday #yemen was success @megynkelly

Just a reminder: WH cited Yemen as a success story less than two weeks ago as part of its defense of strategy on ISIS http://t.co/JWaTMwBcVz

WH: our ISIS strategy will be modeled after our successes in Yemen, where today al-Qaeda attacked our embassy. http://t.co/vqogwnOSj8
