Last night, all eyes were on Wisconsin as voters in the state considered a constitutional amendment requiring voter ID as well as a pivotal seat on the State Supreme Court. As Twitchy has reported, the results were mixed. Voters overwhelmingly approved the ballot measure to add voter ID to the state's Constitution. However, Democrat Susan Crawford won the judicial election, keeping the state's Supreme Court narrowly in the blue column, 4-3.
Unfortunately, this means that Crawford will likely be the deciding vote in overturning voter ID requirements. As the 2024 election showed, Democrats can only win when voters don't have to prove who they are or if they are even eligible to vote.
Why is that, we wonder? It's a mystery.
Democrats are crowing this morning that 'Wisconsin defeated the billionaire,' referring to Elon Musk traveling to the state and vocally campaigning for Crawford's opponent, Republican Brad Schimel. This also is a lie, as Crawford was almost entirely bankrolled by out-of-state billionaires.

Musk may be on the side of freedom, free speech, and America, but make no mistake. Democrats still have a HUGE money advantage from some of the worst people in the world who hate this country.
The national implications of the Wisconsin result are pretty dire, as Hakeem Jeffries has already stated publicly that the party's immediate plan is to ridiculously gerrymander the state's congressional districts to strip two House seats from Republicans. If Democrats control the House in 2026, they will set a new world record for the number of times they will try to impeach President Trump. They won't have legitimate grounds for those articles of impeachment, but that has never stopped them before. The work of the Trump administration will grind to a halt as Democrats will take up no other business outside of getting the bad orange man.
As disappointing as last night's results were, there is no time for Republicans to lick their wounds. There are two more huge elections coming up this year, in Virginia and New Jersey. Republican get-out-the-vote rock star Scott Presler has already vowed to spend every day on the ground in New Jersey trying to flip the Garden State's governorship from blue to red.
In Virginia, Democrats will pull out all of the stops to elect the truly awful Abigail Spanberger and defeat Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears, who is running to succeed Glenn Youngkin. When Youngkin beat Terry McAuliffe in 2021, it hurt Democrats badly. They were cocky about that race and thought they had permanently shifted Virginia to being a blue state. Youngkin, Sears, and Attorney General Jason Miyares destroyed that illusion.
Now, they want revenge, big time. If you think Crawford got a lot of leftist billionaire money, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Spanberger is the prototypical leftist swamp candidate. She is a former CIA operative, she almost certainly won her first election by cheating (with a magical thumb drive of votes found late at night), and from a policy standpoint, she is as bad as any Democrat in the country.
Sears has recently been highlighting how horrible Spanberger would be for Virginia.

Spanberger is also a full-throated acolyte of the gender cult (even though she is trying to hide that now since the nation is turning against that insanity).

Everything about Spanberger represents a step backward for Virginia, and a move in the opposite direction of where America is going.
Perhaps most devastating of all, however, is Spanberger's policies on education. When Youngkin won in 2021, he had parents on his side for the very good reason that former Governor Ralph Northam was a leading proponent of locking children out of schools. And McAuliffe promised more of the same. When parents rebelled against woke curricula in schools, letting boys use girls' bathrooms in schools, and covering up scandals of overdoses and violence, McAuliffe infamously said that parents should have no say in those educational policies.
Spanberger is not dumb enough to repeat that colossal error, but she agrees with McAuliffe 100 percent. She believes that schools ARE a place for indoctrination and to hell with any parents who say otherwise.

This is Spanberger's base. This is who she is. And this is what she will bring to Virginia as governor, along with all of the other horrible policies that Sears outlined in the tweets above. And she will have HUGE financial support from those same leftist billionaires who just got Crawford elected in Wisconsin.
Well, I've got another letter for the left. 'W.'
W is for win. W is for Winsome.
This is going to be an uphill battle, there is no doubt about that. Spanberger has a giant institutional and financial advantage in the swamp of Northern Virginia. We need the Republican Party to stop ignoring the commonwealth. When Youngkin won in 2021, it was entirely due to grassroots support from parents on the ground, and very little support from the RNC.
And Virginia was very winnable for Donald Trump and Senate candidate Hung Cao in 2024 as well. But almost no RNC resources came here. The party simply cannot repeat that mistake in 2025. The stakes are too high.
But Sears is a Marine. She is a patriot. She is a fighter. And she can win if we join her in that fight.
Virginia needs to vote for Winsome Sears as if our lives depended on it. Because they do, as evidenced by Spanberger's promise to not work with ICE and make Virginia a 'sanctuary' for illegals who assault and murder women and children.

Virginia can send a giant message to Democrats this fall. We can tell them that their corrupt plans for the House in 2026 aren't going to come to fruition just because they won the Wisconsin Supreme Court last night. We can tell them that 2024 was not an accident, that voters want nothing more to do with America-last policies like the ones Abigail Spanberger embraces.
And we can tell them what letters in the alphabet really mean.
Because 'W' is for 'Win with Winsome Sears.'
