We've heard a lot from Democrats this week about a 'Constitutional crisis' and, even more hilariously, how 'no one voted for this,' meaning all of the work that Elon Musk and DOGE have been doing to expose and eliminate corruption, fraud, and waste in the federal government.
Obviously, that is just pure cope. Donald Trump campaigned regularly with Musk and talked repeatedly during the campaign about his mission in his second term to reduce the size and scope of the government.
America believed him. As a result, Trump not only won the election but won the popular vote. Not only that, but he swung every single county in the country rightward. Every. Single. One.
But the Democrats and their media lackeys are so committed to their gaslighting that (sometimes) used to work when either of them had a shred of credibility that they simply have nothing else they can turn to. Well, other than their lawfare, of course.
However, a new poll released from Vote4America this week not only demonstrates that, yes, America did 'vote for this' and we all overwhelmingly support what President Trump, Musk, and DOGE are doing right now, but also that the false narrative that Democrats and the dead legacy media are pushing is not working. Not even a little bit.

Before I get into the poll results, I want to mention that I am instinctively skeptical of all polls. Given how wrong so many election polls are -- sometimes deliberately so right, J. Ann Selzer? -- a healthy skepticism of pollsters seems like a good policy in general.
Vote4America leans conservative, there's no question about that. But, as I will address a little later, their recent survey of 1,000 registered voters included an equal distribution of Trump and Harris voters. I can only take them at their word on this assertion.
But even if the numbers skewed a little to the right, the overall poll results are DEVASTATING for Democrats and the media.
Let's start with the first question in the poll:
With all the MSM noise its hard to tell what people really think about the US Gov and DOGE's attempt to shrink it.
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
So we asked them
Most important Q of the poll...Do you believe the gov has your best interest in mind as it spends YOUR money?
Only 28% said Yes...Brutal

OUCH.
As bad as these numbers are for Democrats, this is maybe the least surprising result in the poll. Americans on both sides of the aisle have always been critical of how the government spends money. Nearly 60 percent of people responding that the feds do not have our best interests in mind tracks with that.
But it gets worse for the left. Oh, it gets SO much worse.
The next question in the poll went directly to the mission of DOGE.
Is waste, fraud, and abuse a serious problem inside the US Gov?
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
82% of people believe it is pic.twitter.com/sN1MSYkz9N
Eighty. Two. Percent.
You could poll America on any question you want -- you could ask if puppies are cute -- and you'd be hard-pressed to top 80 percent in a poll.
Again, this should not be surprising. We've seen so many examples of waste, fraud, and abuse over so many years (thank you, Senator Rand Paul and your annual Festivus list) that we can't imagine anyone saying that it's not a problem.
But America has become so tribal, and Democrats have gone so far in full-throated support of 'big daddy government can do no wrong' that many people have lost basic common sense.
You can't argue with 82 percent though. Maybe common sense is finally returning ... despite the media's efforts to keep everyone stupid.
The poll then gets right to the question at hand: Do you support DOGE?
Do you support DOGE's attempt to reduce the waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending?
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
62% of voters do pic.twitter.com/kROocLoBvo
But wait. We thought that Musk was just some unelected billionaire employing people named 'Big Balls.' How could 62 percent of Americans support that?
The answer is simple. America has tuned the media out. We do not listen to them anymore. And, to an increasing extent, we don't listen to Democrat politicians anymore.
We certainly don't listen to them when they are advocating violence in the streets to fight against Trump and Musk, who don't want the government spending $59 million to house illegal immigrants in New York. Especially not while Americans in North Carolina, Hawaii, and California are suffering and that same government has seemingly abandoned them.
This sentiment was also reflected in the next question about foreign aid.
Should we take the US tax dollars going overseas and use it to fix our fiscal situation at home?
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
65% of taxpayers say so. pic.twitter.com/dj9wBTtGcB
Again, the numbers are overwhelming and they are shouting one thing: 'America First.'
Foreign aid is a complex issue and I am not going to go into a deep dive on that here. But when Americans have seen the government send $200 BILLION to Ukraine while it offers hurricane victims $750 (which many victims didn't even receive), is it any wonder that 65 percent of people would want to bring that money back home?
The next question in the poll was very simple. Should the federal government be smaller? And, again, the result was definitive.
Should the government spend less money overall?
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
Who are the 22% of people who said no? pic.twitter.com/BhplZtfuv8
Who are the 22 percent? They all probably work for the federal government, that's who they are.
DOGE has already cut billions of dollars in federal spending, should they go find more places to cut?
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
59% of people paying taxes think so. pic.twitter.com/Jnlfj4G9xn
Just wait until DOGE gets into the Department of Defense which has NEVER passed an audit.
The final question in the poll related to education and the result is going to give Randi Weingarten nightmares (that's a good thing).
Who should decide how education dollars are spent, federal education staff or state and local education staff?
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
Brutally, only 21% of Democrats and Republicans think the feds should decide. pic.twitter.com/yoRh3lZmk2
This 65 percent number has to be music to the ears of people like Corey DeAngelis and groups like Moms For Liberty.
Again, this is just common sense. Education is a local issue. And the Department of Education has been a complete failure since it was established in the Carter administration.
The result here fits in with everything else the poll reflected. The government is too big, it wastes too much of OUR money, and bureaucrats make bad decisions (if they ever make decisions at all).
Finally, as I noted above, while Vote4America is a conservative-leaning non-profit, according to their analysis of the survey conducted by Arc Insights, it was an even distribution between Trump and Harris voters.
Was this a skewed poll?
— Vote4America (@Vote4America24) February 12, 2025
Out of 1000 registered voters, the breakdown was 48% Trump and 47% Harris.
Media and elected officials should not underestimate the amount of public support for an effort to reduce gov size and waste. They do so at their own peril.
I would love to see all of the data from this poll and all of the demographic cross-tabs to analyze the results further. But even with this limited information, the poll is terrible news for big government.
It is even worse news for Democrats and the legacy media. I can't even count all of the Twitchy articles we have written over the past two weeks about the gaslighting they have been doing regarding Musk and DOGE.
And some of their violent rhetoric has been extremely dangerous.
I very much doubt whether any Democrats will look at these poll results and try to learn from them, but they should. Because this poll not only says that their messaging isn't working, but it also says that more Americans will turn against them the longer they keep it up.
And if, God forbid, some unhinged leftist DOES do something really violent, which they have been encouraging, Americans will turn against them so much harder, they may never win an election again in my lifetime. Not a national election, anyway.
Yes, we DID vote for this, Democrats. And we will continue to support it. The left may hate that reality, but their screeching won't change it.
After all, reality is, as it has always been, undefeated.
