If You Need a Reason to Smile, Rest Assured That Democrats STILL Refuse to Learn From 2024

It is almost impossible to overstate how much disarray the Democrat party is in following the 2024 election. In a recent Quinnipiac poll, Democrats have now dropped to an all-time low approval rating of 31 percent. Meanwhile, Republicans are going in the opposite direction, reaching an all-time high approval of 43 percent in the same survey. It is natural for the party that won the most recent election to be polling higher than the opposition just a few months later, but for both parties to achieve record lows and highs, respectively is a cause for serious concern if you are a Democrat.

It is not difficult to understand why Democrats find themselves in these straits. For one thing, the party is leaderless in 2025. Since Barack Obama won the presidential election in 2008 all the way through his recently ended third term (also known as the Biden administration), he was that leader. In 2024, however, Obama has lost his star power, as evidenced by his failure to scold a core Democrat demographic, black men, to vote for Harris.

Joe Biden has been put out to pasture to eat pudding cups and ice cream; no one, not even Democrats, likes Bill or Hillary Clinton anymore; and Kamala Harris and Tim Walz ... wait, scratch that. I can't even type those two names with a straight face.

Looking at Congress, where are the fresh new faces who are sending a message of leadership? They simply don't exist. And based on how Democrat Senators have been conducting themselves in confirmation hearings for Trump's Cabinet, we're not going to see any leaders from those ranks. In the House, two of the 'stars' of the party's Hamas Caucus, Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush, didn't even make it out of their primaries last year.

The Democrats' one viable governor, Josh Shapiro, is hated by the party's antisemitic base, while Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer have turned themselves into punchlines. Other potential governor leaders -- like Jared Polis, J.B. Pritzker, and Andy Beshear -- do not meet the party's identity politics qualifications.

It is entirely plausible that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the closest thing Democrats have to a leader right now, and that should scare them very much. It won't, but it should. At the very least, it should be cause for some serious self-reflection. Fortunately for conservatives, self-reflection is a quality that they simply do not possess.

For example, this week in Washington, DC, Democrats held a candidate forum for the next DNC Chair. The forum was aired on MSNBC and hosted by 'journalist' Jonathan Capehart. If you want to see how much trouble the party is in, just look at how ALL NINE of the candidates answered when Capehart asked them why Harris lost the 2024 election:

Unbelievable. Not a single person on the stage was willing to even contemplate that they might have lost because Biden and Harris failed America during their administration. No one dared to say that maybe covering up Biden's dementia for four years or installing Harris as the nominee without a single vote cast for her may have not gone over too well with American voters. Not to mention picking Walz over Shapiro because he is the Democrats' idea of 'masculinity.'

Nope. It's all just because of 'MUH RACISM AND SEXISM! RREEEEEE!'

Keep going in this direction, Democrats. You're doing GREAT.

Even more revealing was Capehart's reaction to the unanimous suicide pact above: 'That's good. You all passed.'

WHAT?

Elon Musk summed the exchange up in his usual succinct manner:

He's got a way with words, doesn't he? But he is 100 percent correct. It is astounding to watch not a single one of them 'get it' or even think about learning anything from the election loss.

On the flip side, showing that Democrats can't even stop fighting with each other, there is the unhinged Keith Olbermann (as usual, we have to apologize in advance for his NSFW language):

LOL. Hey, maybe the DNC should make the Olber-monkey (yes, I am going to use Triumph's nickname for him endlessly) the party chair. He's always out on Twitter winning hearts and minds.

Needless to say, many conservatives were overjoyed to see the Democrats' commitment to continuing to punch themselves in the groin with their woke ideology.

HA. There were plenty of reactions along these lines.

It's even worse when you consider that not a single Democrat pundit in the media will try to correct them, as evidenced by Capehart admitting -- giddily even -- that his question about racism and sexism is a litmus test on the left. Any Democrat who answered differently would have been hounded off the stage.

Someone should tell them that this is not what 'steering into the skid' is supposed to mean. (But it won't be me.)

Hang on, though. Would you like it to get even worse for the Democrats? Good, because it does.

The forum was repeatedly interrupted by screeching climate protesters and Capehart's co-host, Symone Sanders, barely said a word to stop them. Because this is the party's base in 2025.

So, let me summarize the current state of the Democrat party.

Their approval rating is at its lowest ebb ever, they have no leaders in Washington or around the country, their potential 'new' leadership is embracing the identity politics that helped them lose in 2024, the media is telling them to keep digging, and their voters hate them because they won't go even FURTHER than they already have in pushing a climate scam agenda.

The only thing the forum was missing was some pro-Hamas protesters as well.

Or maybe some men in dresses demanding to be able to play women's sports and use the women's bathroom.

They could have even brought in some 'doctors' to say that 'transing the kids' is a practice they should continue to keep pushing on America's children.

And I haven't even touched on the most hilarious part. Though he wasn't on stage at this forum, the Democrats' leading candidate for vice chair right now is ... David Hogg. He has been endorsed by Walz (that fits) and, more recently, by Eric Swalwell and quite possibly the worst woman in the world, Randi Weingarten.

Try to contain your laughter.

On second thought, don't. Go ahead and laugh. I am.

Smarter people than I can analyze how the Democrats got themselves into this position, but there is no question that they ARE in this position. It is not hyperbole to say that the party is completely lost.

None of this is to say that we know what will happen in 2028, or even in the 2026 midterm elections. Many things can happen between now and then.

But in 2024, Democrats didn't just lose by a hair. They got trounced. They lost every swing state and even a couple of formerly solid blue states were in jeopardy late into Election Night. If you are a Democrat in New Jersey, you should be VERY scared right now. Even New York and California, while they stayed safely in the blue column, shifted pretty hard to the right in 2024. As a matter of fact, every county in America did.

Every. Single. One.

But despite the bloodbath (we can use that word again now) that Democrats experienced last year, they have committed to slamming their feet on the gas pedal and careening toward the canyon ahead, like Thelma and Louise

If that doesn't bring a huge smile to your face as a conservative, nothing will.
