The nation has been awash in conspiracy theories concerning Joe Biden's disappearance and subsequent letter dropping out of the 2024 election.
This confusion is entirely on Joe Biden and his handlers. He claims to continue to serve as President of the United States but hasn't been seen since his historic decision.
Speculation, even wild speculation, was the inevitable outcome.

Biden told the American people he was dropping out of the race, but he didn't tell us why he was dropping out of the race, other than the standard fare of 'doing what is good for the country'.
Why?
Joe Biden was forced out of the campaign by high-ranking Democrats and big donors who were scared of Trump's strong polling and appearance of invincibility following Biden's horrible debate performance and the assassination attempt against Trump.
I think this credibly explains the events that have followed, including Biden's disappearance.
My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best… pic.twitter.com/x8DnvuImJV

The dropout letter issued by Biden made no mention of Kamala Harris and was likely what Team Biden agreed to with those who were pushing him out the door.
The immediate follow-up endorsing Kamala Harris for president … well, that's not so clear.
Was this the Biden/Harris campaign getting out in front of any ambitious Democrats who wanted to push for a new candidate at the convention, or was this the plan all along once Biden finally relented to surrendering? Perhaps we'll never know.
Good news, Joe Biden is staying in the race.

The reports of him withdrawing this weekend are false.
Hunter and Jill are doing the right thing in their advising of Joe.

The Biden campaign was all-in as of Friday.
More importantly, I believe Joe Biden was still all-in on his quest for another four years.
Joe Biden is livid.

Democrats have created a friendly 'good guy' veneer over Joe Biden, the hardened political narcissist who has wormed his way into wielding power on the national stage for over half a century.
That's the guy who is angrily sulking in his Delaware home and refusing to give those who forced him out the satisfaction of letting the nation see their president.
JUST IN: Biden to address the nation TOMORROW on his decision to step down from the race.
— Jack (@jackunheard) July 23, 2024
It will be nothing but lies because we all know he had no say in the decision making process.
Buckle up. pic.twitter.com/71YHMKUUAN
As I write, it was announced Biden will address the nation tomorrow about his decision to step down. (Part one of my 'low tinfoil' approach confirmed. It's going to be awfully hard to address the nation if he's dead.)
This is where I think Democrats find themselves in the biggest pickle of their own making, and likely contributed to the extended absence of the nation's top leader following his announcement to bow out.
How can Biden address the nation without giving us the 'Why?'
He can't, and that's going to require Herculean political gymnastics to avoid further damaging the fragile Democrat party.
Within a span of 36 hrs the Democrat establishment, a former president, almost all of Hollywood & progressive billionaire donors have ruthlessly pushed out Biden, a man they have known for a very long time to be frail & locked in Harris without once having to answer to voters pic.twitter.com/yF1ALVk4w9

There's the mostly honest approach:
'I decided to step down as a candidate for president in the 2024 election because of concerns about my health.'
This is the real reason. Everyone knows it's the real reason. It's his mental health more than his physical health, and everyone knows that too.
I don't believe Biden will take that route because he's Joe Biden - ever arrogant and resentful of being pushed out.
There's also a colossal problem with putting health concerns forward as a reason for ending his bid for the White House: Joe Biden can't possibly continue to be President of the United States for another six months if he's too unhealthy to campaign.
Biden is also likely hesitant to cede his last grip on presidential pardon power to the very people who are jettisoning his political carcass into the sun. Joe may be Hunter's last hope, but not if he resigns the office of the president now. I'd guess Dr. Jill has had a thing or two to scream about that.

What do I actually expect Biden's dishonest excuse for dropping out of the race will be?
'My fellow Americans, it has become clear in recent weeks through our polling efforts that victory against Donald Trump is not guaranteed. It is paramount that we beat Donald Trump in November. Our democracy is in danger, and that is bigger than any one man. For that reason, I decided to end my campaign and do what is right for the country … for the American people … it's about the people … no joke. I will serve out the remainder of my term as your president and do everything within my power to help elect Kamala Harris as the next President of the United States and defeat Donald Trump.'
That's what I expect. I don't think Joe Biden's ego could handle any less.
This approach will be blatantly dishonest, as it implicitly ignores the 'why'. Why is Joe Biden's campaign failing? Why is Trump moving ahead in the polls?
Biden is frail. Biden is in cognitive decline. Biden is unfit.
I know it. You know it. Everyone knows it.
This exit strategy would allow Biden to save face and the media will likely assist with the smokescreen.
I could be wrong, of course, we may get to witness President Harris within days. At least that would be an honest solution. Strategically, electing President Harris would be quite an advantage for the Democrats, and don't think for a second there aren't Democrats pushing that angle. Will Biden relent yet again and resign in full disgrace - a doddering old man who has been lying to the American people and himself about his condition for months if not years? I doubt it.
I'll wait along with you to see how this all plays out, but I'm convinced there are many explanations for the events of the past days that will help us all save a bit of money in our tinfoil budgets.
