Just for fun: Maverick killjoy Neil deGrasse Tyson makes us laugh

It’s a bit contradictory to call Neil deGrasse Tyson a ‘killjoy’ because every time he tries to ruin something with his physics hot takes, we end up having a good laugh.

It’s sort of his shtick.

Neil decided to weigh in on the movie Top Gun: Maverick about 4 months after its release.

Twitter responded, and as is usually the case with Tyson’s hot takes, it was hilarious.

Spoiler alert!

LOL!

Phew!

We are laughing!

We’re pretty sure the chicken crossed the road to get away from Neil.

Bwahaha!

Why are people ruining everything?! LOL.

Nice.

Many users wanted to let Neil know he was wrong, even in the real world. We don’t think Neil really cares.

We can hardly wait.

Correct. Neil deGrasse Tyson is providing a much needed service to humanity.

He’s an astrophysicist, not a grammatician!

But it’s so much fun! Besides, according to data from the CDC, it’s likely we’ll only have these takes from Neil deGrasse Tyson for another 6.8 years.

Man, that got dark.
