Perhaps one of the funniest moments from last summer's Democratic National Convention -- aside from the fact that Joe Biden had to speak in support of Kamala Harris after having been shoved out by the Dems -- happened when Bernie Sanders delivered one of his harangues slamming the ultra rich in politics. That was followed by Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker bragging about how rich he is:
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker awkwardly boasted about being an “actual billionaire” following socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ rant against the ultra-wealthy during night two of the Democratic National Convention.
“Donald Trump thinks that we should trust him on the economy because he claims to be very rich,” the 59-year-old Democrat said Tuesday in a dig at the Republican presidential candidate.
“But take it from an actual billionaire,” he said as the crowd inside the United Center in Chicago erupted into cheers. “Trump is rich in only one thing — stupidity.”
Prizker’s net worth is currently $3.5 billion, making him the richest politician in office, Forbes reported.
And that's just part of what makes the newest Dem/Left talking point insanely ridiculous.
But they're trying it anyway as part of the Left's attempts to make it sound like Elon Musk runs the government and buys elections for Republicans:

This chart says it all.

If we’re going to save American democracy, we must stop billionaires from buying elections.
We must end Citizens United and move to public funding of elections. pic.twitter.com/5h6Cvp19bV
Not all billionaires are bad, though. For some it's "D"ifferent.
George Soros would like a word. https://t.co/hzlcNdVK72

Heck, Joe Biden gave George Soros a Presidential Medal of Freedom last year, and it was accepted on his behalf by his son Alex. Pick almost any prominent Democrat and search their name along with Alex or George Soros and you'll likely find a picture of them smiling together.

That chart doesn’t say it ALL, Bernie.
Not to mention we know Kamala had more donations from billionaires than Trump did. https://t.co/dTcuyBWCeG pic.twitter.com/AbDvz8fPix
"Our breakdown records 83 billionaires supporting Harris and 52 backing Trump so far," according to Forbes. During the 2024 campaign the Democrats even bragged about getting more donations from the rich.
The result of all this is a huge pile of "anti-billionaire" BS from the Democrats.
Here's just one example using Tim Walz...
The shot: "We must get the money out of politics":

And the inevitable chaser:

I'm totally sure Walz showed up there just to tell Soros that his money has no place in politics!
