Over the years I've written regularly about the massive amount of eco-hypocrisy from lefties who would like the rest of us to believe the world is very close to an existential crisis due to the burning of fossil fuels, all while living their own lives in a manner which indicates they don't actually believe a word they say. Here's a good example of that from 2022:
Wow, 400 private jets arrived at #COP27 climate summit. So much concern for climate change is really heart-warming (and global warming) 🤡 pic.twitter.com/J3g3iKuTR6

Like I always say, if man-made climate change doesn't yet exist, it certainly will after these eco-warriors get done "saving" us from it. Talk about your self-fulfilling prophecies!
This coming November in Brazil is the 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference, and nothing more perfectly encapsulates the annual meeting madness than this headline about the preparations that are underway:
Amazon forest felled to build road for climate summit https://t.co/eYUXNIPpno

Real life has now eclipsed anything The Babylon Bee could publish.
A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém.
It aims to ease traffic to the city, which will host more than 50,000 people - including world leaders - at the conference in November.
The state government touts the highway's "sustainable" credentials, but some locals and conservationists are outraged at the environmental impact.
The Amazon plays a vital role in absorbing carbon for the world and providing biodiversity, and many say this deforestation contradicts the very purpose of a climate summit.
There's a meme about these people that says "remember, you're the carbon they want to eliminate" and nothing could be more true when it comes to the U.N. climate change lunatics.

Recently in northern Michigan there was a state plan to clear more than 400 acres of forest in order to build a solar farm. The plan was halted by sane people who didn't want to bring satire to real life in Michigan (any more than it already has been thanks to state Democrats) but it doesn't look like sanity is in the cards for Brazil ahead of COP30.
