Private jet parade at UN's climate summit puts eco-hypocrisy on full display

“Climate czar” and man of the people John Kerry recently seem to recognize the terrible optics of his use of private jets while warning the world about the existential threat caused by the burning of fossil fuels. As a result, Kerry said he’d be flying commercially to Egypt for the COP27 climate conference. I have no idea if Kerry actually followed through with that, but a lot of Kerry’s climate change alarmist pals sure weren’t about to fly to the conference surrounded by the peasantry.

How many flew to the conference on private jets? It appears the answer to that question is “hundreds”:

If man-made climate change caused by the burning of fossil fuels wasn’t a problem before COP27, it certainly will be after. Climate change could be the biggest self-fulfilling prophesy of all time thanks to eco-activist elitist hypocrites:

Egyptian sources corroborated widespread claims that some 400 private jets landed during COP27.

Some media cited lower estimates by flight-trackers, though there may have been private flights that were not logged by monitoring services.
[…]
‘More than 400 private jets landed in the past few days in Egypt,’ a source close to the Egyptian aviation authorities, who asked not to be named, told AFP on Thursday.

‘There was a meeting ahead of COP27, and officials were expecting those jets and made some arrangements in Sharm el-Sheikh airport to welcome those planes.’

All those jets are solar-powered, right?

Has anybody calculated the carbon footprint from that conference? Their excuse would likely be that they purchased “offsets” and planted a couple of trees.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up!
