Biden reminds Puerto Rico residents that he was 'sort of raised in the Puerto Rican community at home, politically'

President Biden went to Puerto Rico Monday afternoon to announce over $60 million dollars in funding for cleanup & power restoration efforts after Hurricane Fiona:

In Puerto Rico, the Bidens surveyed the damage from Hurricane Fiona, which killed more than two dozen people on the island last month, officials have said. Hurricane Ian shortly after struck Florida, killing more than 70 people before moving up along the Atlantic coast and killing at least four more people in North Carolina.

“We came here in person to show that we’re with you… all of America is with you as you receive and recover and rebuild. I’m confident to——I’m confident we’re going to be able to do all you want, Governor. And I’m committed to this island,” Biden said, pledging his commitment to investing in the island, “as long as it takes.”

Biden’s remarks started off by reminding the media what he doesn’t want the headline to be:

Don’t worry Joe, the only thing you brought to Puerto Rico was tens of millions of dollars and plenty of “WTF” moments.

Here’s yet another:

Biden’s getting dangerously close to “I was born a poor black child” and bringing the movie “The Jerk” to real life.

What does Biden mean, exactly? Maybe Corn Pop was Puerto Rican. The look on Jill Biden’s face as Joe said that spoke volumes.

If Biden ever takes questions again perhaps a reporter can ask him what the hell he’s talking about.

There’s pandering and then there’s whatever it is that Biden does that’s well beyond that.

At one point Biden asked for some help with the pronunciation of a name:

Townhall’s Katie Pavlich pointed out how this could have somehow been even worse:

LOL! Maybe next time.
