NYC mayor floats idea for where to send illegal immigrants being dropped off in his 'sanctuary city'

Last October, ahead of the mayoral election in New York City, Eric Adams made Big Apple voters a promise:

Then in the course of several months, Adams was elected NYC’s mayor and his proud “sanctuary city” promise turned into a crisis:

Now it’s gotten to the point that the Adams administration is considering putting illegal immigrants on cruise ships:

For illegal immigrants arriving in what is billed as “sanctuary cities” this all must seem like a massive bait-and-switch:

Weird, right? It’s almost like that rhetoric was BS from the start.

From the New York Times:

As New York struggles to find housing for a wave of migrants arriving in the city, Mayor Eric Adams is seriously considering housing them on cruise ships.

Mr. Adams said for the first time on Friday that the city was weighing the idea.

“We’re examining everything, from the legality of using any type of cruise ship for temporary housing,” the mayor said on “The Point With Marcia Kramer,” on WCBS-TV. “We’re looking at everything to see how do we deal with this.”

The mayor’s chief of staff, Frank Carone, has spoken with leaders of Norwegian Cruise Line, a major cruise ship company, to discuss the possibility of housing asylum seekers on one of its ships, according to someone familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter.

So Adams is going from “sanctuary city” to “sanctuary cruise ship”?

And now they’re getting called out in a very public way and they don’t like it. More please!

There ya go!
