Almost 50 illegal immigrants who were sent to Martha’s Vineyard spent about 24 hours on the island before being whisked away to a base on Cape Cod (the island prides itself as a “sanctuary” but that seemed like a bit of a bait and switch in this case). Here’s NPR’s tweet about it:
Authorities in Massachusetts are relocating the dozens of migrants flown to Martha's Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to Cape Cod, where the state will provide shelter, food and other essential services.https://t.co/wApsE6xTOP

Did you catch a certain word in the subheadline?
Oh just "rehoused" pic.twitter.com/lY3nMi2v3x

A base? What kind of base? Like a Red Rover base? Seems vague.

Surely if Trump was still in the White House NPR’s spin would be exactly the same (cue huge eye roll).
So it's not "human smuggling" when they do it 🤣😂

Sounds better than "trafficked."

The illegals were swept out of a super-caring predominantly liberal place so the normal narrative rules don’t apply.
Are they allowed to leave the base? Isn’t this kidnapping?? https://t.co/Qz1moeiD9I

The next Republican Admin needs to take notes: it’s no longer “deport” it’s “rehouse in their country of origin”. https://t.co/a5deZFZGSl

Excellent idea.
The most MV locals did to arriving migrants was to organize a photo-op, before shipping them off. https://t.co/WyUJewsZef

And now they’re getting feted as the “walking the walk” when it comes to compassion for migrants.
There aren’t any obama cages there, right?

LOL!
Yes, they absolutely have to take those migrants to an area where all the wealthy people can’t see them.
— Peter Garrett (@TheUnrealPeterG) September 16, 2022
It’s like wind farms — they should be everywhere — except not where rich liberals can see them.
