RCP's Tom Bevan noticed what the White House press did NOT ask about at today's briefing

As we told you earlier today, the Washington Post became the latest media outlet to have a “eureka” moment when it comes to the authenticity of stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop. As it turns out, it wasn’t “Russian disinformation” after all:

Biden aides and some former U.S. intelligence officials have voiced concern that the device may have been manipulated by Russia to interfere in the campaign. On Capitol Hill, Democrats have dismissed earlier reports about Hunter Biden’s work in China as lacking credibility or being part of a Russian disinformation campaign. The Post analysis included forensic work by two outside experts who assessed the authenticity of numerous emails related to the CEFC matter. In addition, The Post found that financial documents on the copy of Hunter Biden’s purported laptop match documents and information found in other records, including newly disclosed bank documents obtained by Sen. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, a senior Republican on the Senate Finance and Judiciary committees.

The Washington Post catching up to the story after the New York Times did the same last week should be a pretty big issue, right? Not at today’s White House briefing, which featured Kate Bedingfield instead of Jen Psaki. Real Clear Politics’ Tom Bevan saw something missing from this particular presser:

The White House media malpractice is even more damning considering this:

Peter Doocy might question them about this at some point, but others in the WH press seemed to be in “yawn” mode.

The Washington Post’s slogan has never been more ironic.
