During the White House press conference today, press secretary Jen Psaki helpfully admitted that the Left’s “defund the police” push contributed to crime spikes in cities where it was actually put into practice.
But Psaki was also asked if parents or school board members know what’s best when it comes to school guidelines. Basically, Psaki’s answer was “neither”:
“Who knows best for kids, school board members or parents?”
Psaki: “Public health officials.”

The same “public health officials” who have been constantly moving goal posts for about two years?

The way Democrats avoid it, it's as if saying parents know what is best for their kids would make them spontaneously combust. https://t.co/iM5YMJCNxJ

If Psaki were being honest she might have also included “teachers unions” in her answer about who knows what’s best for kids.
No, @PressSec @jrpsaki. Parents know what's best for their children – not unelected bureaucrats. We should empower parents not vilify them. https://t.co/WZvRMu0NMq
