CNN’s fact-checker has been fact-checked yet again:
Good thread on the Flordia voting law. Most of these changes are common sense and rather unobjectionable. They certainly aren't anything worthy of outrage. https://t.co/1dLgj2UCb3

Read this thread and then explain to me how @ddale8 has any credibility as an impartial "fact checker" https://t.co/e3crvfka1E

It starts with CNN’s Daniel Dale’s fact-check on the Florida election law:
Florida law:
– New drop box limits
– More work to get mail ballots
– New limit on delivering others' ballots
– Ban on universal mail ballots
– New mail-vote ID rule
– More rights for partisans, more power for governor, harder line on registration groups https://t.co/jNrsb8TgE2— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) May 7, 2021
The truth wasn’t close enough to the Democrat narrative for CNN, and this thread demonstrates the difference between the Left’s spin and reality:
SB90 keeps voting easy, but makes cheating harder in Florida. This “fact check” seems to think differently. Let’s take a closer look… https://t.co/84Yeq7f7b5
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
“Drop box limits”—SB90 sets consistent hours (8-12 hours/day during early voting) and improves security by staffing each box. Before anyone says that’s too “limiting,” remember: there is a drop box in front of every home and on most street corners. It’s called a mail box.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
“More work to get mail ballots”—Voters only need to make one request every two years. Reducing the time frame from four years to two is a good way to make sure that mail ballots are only going out to voters who want them, reducing waste and fraud risks.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
“New limit” on ballot delivery— SB90 bans vote trafficking, which is not neighbors helping neighbors like this article argues. Real vote trafficking is where political operatives go door-to-door helping voters and taking their ballots, with no supervision.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
Vote trafficking has been abused to rob people of their right to vote, especially the vulnerable and the elderly. Most Americans agree it is a bad idea to put voted ballots in the hands of operatives with an interest in the outcome of a race.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
For the record, under SB90, any voter can help anyone in their immediate family: spouses, parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren, and any two other people. And the two-ballot limit doesn’t apply during supervised voting in nursing homes.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
“Ban on universal mail ballots”—SB90 simply says that officials cannot mail ballots to voters who didn’t request them. Mailing unsolicited ballots guarantees that ballots will go to voters who have moved, died, or want to vote in person. SB90 means less waste & fraud risk.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
“New mail-vote ID rule”—Voters simply need to give a driver’s license number, a state ID number, or the last four digits of their social security number when requesting a mail-in ballot. That’s it. 77% of voters back ID laws; 66% back them for mail ballots.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
“More rights for partisans…”—SB90 ensures that observers have access to critical parts of the election process. The voting process shouldn’t be opaque. More transparency means more trust in the process, and confidence in the result.
— Honest Elections Project (@honestelections) May 7, 2021
Wait, somebody from CNN was being disingenuous? No way!
@ddale8 either knows this and is misleading on purpose or he’s really really bad at fact checking. I’m going with both. https://t.co/dExCpb0R6d

Important thread on the Florida elections law refuting the habitually dishonest @ddale8 https://t.co/4al5RLzfSc

So what I'm reading here is its Jim Crow…..lemmie count here…ummmm…3.0???

That’s the narrative CNN’s trying to help the Democrats run with.
