During President Biden’s train wreck of a press conference, he was asked if he agrees with former President Obama’s description of the Senate filibuster:
President Biden says he agrees with President Obama’s characterization of the filibuster as a relic of the Jim Crow era. Asked why not eliminate it if that’s the case, Biden says, “Let's deal with the abuse first.”

And Biden was on a role in invoking the Jim Crow era, because in regards to Republican election law proposals he actually said this:
Biden says GOP election integrity / voter laws in the states make "Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle" which is utterly insane and wildly downplays how horrific Jim Crow was.

But back to the filibuster being “a relic of the Jim Crow era.” Biden really must hope everybody has very short memories:

As usual, the “it’s okay when WE do it” standard applies for Democrats.
Biden agrees that the filibuster is a relic of the Jim Crow era.
He has adamantly defended and engaged in many, many filibusters. His party is currently on a six-year filibuster streak.

As Biden says the filibuster is a "Jim Crow relic," PLEASE take the time to listen to his 2005 speech PASSIONATELY defending the filibuster, as read by Ben Sasse yesterday on the Senate floor.

If the filibuster stays and the Democrats end up back in the Senate minority in a couple years, suddenly it won’t be a “relic of the Jim Crow era.”
