Joe Biden has said that if he’s elected, only people who earn more than $400,000 per year would pay higher taxes, and a video from NowThis News appears to be trying to force a point that the middle class paid more in taxes under Trump. But there’s a problem with this approach that you can probably spot:
Reminder: Most Americans got smaller tax refunds in 2019, thanks to Trump pic.twitter.com/qTgezBqzR7

And Biden has pledged to end the Trump tax cuts, so it was nice of NowThis to explain how the Democrat nominee would make the middle class pay higher taxes — whether they know that’s that the video proves or not:
Lol you should have just phrased this, "More Americans got to keep more of their paychecks, thanks to Trump."

so is this the part where the NowThis bigbrains learn that a smaller tax refund means you paid a smaller tax burden? https://t.co/ks4Q5BfRWF

People are mad that the government took less of their money so there was less they needed to try and get back from them?
This is nonsense.

Imagine hoping people judge their tax burden based on the size of their refund check. Sadly that approach will resonate with many who have probably already decided to vote for Biden.
Last year, I gave my neighbor $100. At the end of the year, she gave me back $80.
This year, I gave my neighbor $80. At the end of the year, she gave me back $70.
I got a smaller "refund" this year, but I saved $10.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Nice ignorance showcase. They got more in their check every pay period. ??♀️

"Most people paid less in taxes last year & got slightly higher paychecks. But for many, that isn't the same as a large refund check."

Only because they got more money throughout the year.
Holy shit how is this still up? https://t.co/UqvgR2upb4

A whole bunch of idiots think tax refunds are free money from the government and not a refund of your own money that was incorrectly taken https://t.co/LkG8XmSZEj
