The New York Times “bombshell” report about what “sources” told them was in a manuscript for John Bolton’s forthcoming book. Ever since that story broke, something magical happened:
This is so predictable. https://t.co/LTe04N0YLt

Suddenly there’s a rush from the Left to defend the integrity of Bolton, and law professor Laurence Tribe — who many credit as the brainchild of Speaker Pelosi’s tactic to stall the articles of impeachment — is vouching for the integrity of Trump’s former national security adviser:
Whom are you gonna believe? Bolton, whose honesty (as opposed to his ideology) hasn’t been questioned — or Trump, who lies as often as he breathes? https://t.co/mJKQdGEK40

Who could have seen that change of heart coming? *Eye roll*

Forgetting impeachment just for a moment, it's truly amusing watching members of #TheResistance talking up the character of *checks notes* — John Bolton. https://t.co/FRsrajZhYi

“Amusing,” and then some.
John Bolton is Good now. Make a note of it https://t.co/j9Rt1kWcZa

The left is going to turn Bolton into a hero and an MSNBC host by the time is all over. https://t.co/I67MT53a9S

For the time being Tribe will probably speak nicer about Bolton than he has in the past:
I hear the drums of war. Or is it just John Bolton’s barking dogs and their wagging tails?https://t.co/tbLgAK7VMT

Expect Trump and Bolton to embrace Brazil’s newly installed President Jair Bolsonaro, a right-wing fanatic who’ll become the Trump of the tropics. Voting for Democrats on Tuesday will do more than check our own tin-pot autocrat. It’ll help stem the global tide of authoritarianism

This was no “spelling mistake.” It was a deliberate and dangerous head fake. Was Bolton involved?https://t.co/swgxVCIH0r

Both @NormEisen and I see John Bolton as too hopelessly entangled and conflicted for any remotely ethical president to trust him as national security advisor. Trump, however, is unconstrained by ethical or legal norms. @JRubinBlogger @AriMelber @maddow https://t.co/ssxcfIuUBH
